Search Engine Optimisation Back to Search Engines

Search Engine Optimisation

With half the world's population now having access to the internet and nearly 90% of them finding web sites through search engines there's never a better time to optimise your web site for top search engine positions.

There are over 21 billion web pages fighting for the best search positions so effective marketing isn't something that shouldn't be taken lightly or implemented badly. With a ton of experience in the industry and a structured and proven process, ph9 offer a complete search engine marketing solution.
Search Engine Optimisation

Stage one - Analysis and research

Keyword analysis

A common question many of our customers ask is "which keywords should I be using for my site?". An excellent question to ask because choosing the keywords to use on your web site should not be taken lightly and considered a major part of your marketing strategy. We give you a big helping hand here by spending quality time analysing keywords for you and providing you with all the vital information such as how many searches take place on each keyword every month, which keywords might be better to use, and details of the competition.
Competitor analysis

Looking at your competitors is essential. In our analysis and research phase of our search engine optimisation package, we spend quality time individually visiting your competitors web site's one by one (normally in the range of 50 competitors), finding out their page rank and whether they're a direct competitor of yours. When performing stage 2 of our package to optimise your site we re-check each competitor to make sure that your site is better optimised than theirs.
Linking and page rank analysis

Inbound links (other web sites linking to yours) and your page rank is a major key component to having your web site appear in Google and other search engine listings. Your Google page rank is a number from 0 to 10 based on how many web sites have a link to yours (and where those links come from) which Google uses to judge the popularity and credibility of your web site. As part of our search engine optimisation package we spend a good half a day to a day solely looking at directory web sites related to your industry and/or local area that can provide you an inbound link and we'll also provide you with a report on their page rank. In Stage 2, with your consent, we'll submit your web site to each of them.

Stage two - Optimisation, submission, linking and building page rank

Creating Gateway pages

We’ll create a gateway page for each keyword you’ve chosen. A gateway page is a page on your web site that is specially optimised for a particular keyword phrase. The textual content on these pages is how search engines will classify your web site and how people will find you when using a search engine.

Optimising your product catalogue

Where applicable once we’ve created the gateway pages, we’ll also optimise the product catalogue pages on your site which will greatly improve their chances of ALSO coming up in search engine listings.
Build your Google Page Rank

From the Directory sites we found for you in Stage 1 that offer free links, we will go through each one individually and manually submit your web site and set up the links for you.
Links Page

We will create a links page on your web site with links to the directory sites that require a reciprocal link. This link page is normally linked from a link somewhere discreet at the bottom of your web site as to not focus away the attention of your visitors from the main content on your site.
Site Map

We will create a site map page on your web site. A site map is simply a page which has a link to every page on your web site. This site map is normally linked from a link somewhere discreet at the bottom of your web site.
Google Site Map

A Google Site map is an XML file on your web site which has a list of every single page on your web site. We create and submit this Site Map to Google for you so that when Google crawls your web site, they can look at a list of every single page on your web site and know where and what to look at.

We build special dynamic XML site maps (so that they're constantly up to date) which lists a link to every page, every product, and every product category on your web site.
Listing in Google Directory / DMOZ

We’ll also add your site for a link in the Google Directory / DMOZ

Google Directory / DMOZ (one and the same) - http://directory.google.com/ - http://www.dmoz.org/
Submission

Last but not least, we'll then submit your web site to over 100 search engines including Google, Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, Altavista, Ask, Lycos and excite.
